This article discusses three possible sources of fear in regards to pilots seeking health. It cites these reasons as: pilot personality, financial considerations, and lack of trust. It further goes onto show evidence that although many pilots participate in health avoidance behavior many of them want to get help - citing that 75% of pilots who reported at least one avoidant behavior also stated they would use alternatively sanctioned interventions.
